Someone out there to destroy my rice bowl...

The time now is 5 o'clock in the morning. I should be resting in bed after swallowing almost half dozen of pills from Raffles Medical for my high fever. Temperature taken in the office yesterday was 39.1. And today, now that is, I was sitting in front of my lap top typing this entry. I can't sleep since midnight and I have been tossing about in bed till to the point I decided to write this entry to pen down my thoughts.

I really pitied my Finance colleagues (u know who u are). All these while, when I was on sick leave, they were there to give me a helping hand in my daily tasks. Almost immediately. It's like calling "993", and here they are, ready to execute any jobs given (minus the masks, of course!).

Well, it's not about the jobs that I want to mention in this entry but something else that I want to share with everyone. And I find that this office blog is the most appropriate medium to share with my beloved colleagues of 11 years.

And here the story goes...

As everyone had already known, I was limping on my right knee the moment I touched down Tuas Check Point after a "historical" trip to Malacca with all my "animal-colleagues" about two months back. :) The "injured" knee was very painful, and at times, I really can't bear the pain till I cried.

I was on sick leave for two days, and thereafter, for the next 3 days or so. Alexandra Hospital had done the necessary x-ray and concluded that there's nothing wrong with my knee. That was strange. Even the doctor was surprised how come there was no liquid retention on my knee if it is "gout".

And I believe, to cut the story short, they claimed it was "gout". And I happily exited the hospital with deep tots inside my mind: "Hey, I have gout at a young age. That was cool."

But it never ended there. The pain came back. I was limping quite badly and the sharp pain on my knee was getting worst each day. I went back to the polyclinic, and the lady doctor claimed that mine was not a gout. She examined both my knees and assured me that there's nothing wrong with it actually. Strange.

I'm wondering what has gone wrong. Did I say something wrong when I went to Malacca? For someone like me who believes in superstitous and supernatural beings, anything is possible. Or is it because of the old pair of shoes I left in in the hotel room? Are the shoes STILL "crying" for its owner? Crazy.

After much discussion with my closest family members, I decided to go for my Malay traditional treatment. Why? Since then, I've been having sleepless nites and loads of nightmares. And those nightmares are sometimes crazy. I dreamt of huge crocodile being tied in my kitchen. ETC ETC.

I went to see an Ustaz (a Muslim "medium" man who uses one hundred percent Quranic verses to treat illnesses) last Sunday. And I got a shock of my life. Being a doctor himself, he confirmed that my knee injury was not due to gout. But something mysterious. Something that beyond your imagination. Something mystical.

Someone actually out there to destroy my rice bowl. Someone whom I knew. But never keep in touch nor meet anymore. It was a complicated issue. I was perspiring and shivering when the Ustaz treated me and read me aloud certain Quranic verses. My brother was with me to witness everything.

This was the work of my ex girlfriend's mother (note: my ex gf is a Chinese and is a Muslim-convert). Her mother is a Taoism medium. And from what I have known thus far, her home now has been turned into a mini temple and lots of people will gather on certain nights to make certain requests. The mother will be pocessed by a certain god and she will chant and will not be herself. That was scary.

Back to my illness... the Ustaz told me that her mother wanted to destroy me because "I had influenced her daughter to convert to Muslim and that her dreams of turning my ex gf to be a Taoism medium herself had shattered". And she blamed me for all these. So ridiculous!

I went back home feeling agitated and tired at the same time. As soon as I was home, I lost appetite to eat. I can't sleep. I was awakened in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep after that. Many of you have asked me earlier why I looked so sleepy. So tired. No mood and lack of energy. These are the reasons.

I've tried my very best to overcome these situations in every way I can. Even to the point that I sleep immediately after my The Ultimatum drama on Channel 8. But I was still very lethargic the moment I woke up to go to work. I don't understand why.

And yesterday, I had high fever. And I thought I was caught with H1N1 virus. But from who? From where? I don't travel. And I went home immediately after work taking the private bus together with Winnie and Michelle.

No matter what, that fellow is trying very hard to see my downfall. But I won't let it happen so easily. And FORTUNATELY, I have very understanding colleagues who are there to support me. Be it in work or outside work-issue. Shiau Wei and Wendy have been listening to tons of my stories. The weird ones, crazy ones and even sexy ones, till to the point I have to report some matters to the police.

I don't know why I penned down these thoughts for you ladies to read when it was supposed to be private. But I just need to tell the world that this crazy thing is still happening in such a modern society. I just hope that I will be the same person again, and I wish to continue to put on a smile each time I see everyone in the office.

Pray for my health. May God bless us.

The "Yellow-minded"...

It was another stupid idea of the jugged woman to think of a colour theme everytime there's a monthly morning meeting. And for the first time this year, it was YELLOW.

Sadly speaking, they looked really great in the photo, by the way. I will not publish the whole picture of the "yellow team" as I demand for a (ad) fee if her photo is being published in this blog. Mind you, this is NOT a breast enlargement blog-advertisement!!!

Anyway, I'd done a good job by cropping the photo and here it goes - the most loving pair of bestest friends I've ever met since I was born! Their friendship is a little odd. Not only to me but to many people in the office.

However, I don't wish to elaborate much on their ups-and-downs-plus-backstabbing-and-boyfriend-stealing-kinda-friendship. Let them have some privacy of their own, and sort the matters of their hearts by themselves. For the time being, we just stay out of the picture. LOL.

And because of this "unfortunate" photo, the flamingo couldn't accept the fact that the turtle has lost some kilos (minus the shell, of course!). Thanks to her karate sifu back in Japan.

And due to that also, their friendship was a little rocky and thus, the flamingo has decided to do some cycling just to be on par with the turtle. I just wonder how the flamingo cycles with a pair of wings. Weird, hor?

But never mind. I'm tired of writing about them. And frankly speaking, me too couldn't accept the fact that the turtle has lost some fats, till I lost my appetite to have lunch this afternoon. Hmmm. But who cares?

Malacca... here the Penguin comes!!!!!~

The everlasting memory of birthday celebrations...

This is my pick for our very first posting in this "sophisticated" blog. Boh-pian. I have to find something to start the ball rolling. This picture was taken about 2 months back during the birthday cake cutting ceremony at our most popular and most-seeked conference room! (Some kinda conference room - with no projector screen... imagine all the king-kongs in the office have to squeeze into that tiny lil' room. Haha.) The above picture is courtesy of Sharon Goh (our mini turtle), but I stole it from our Turtle Toh's facebook website.

Talking about celebrating birthdays are kinda norm for our office in the past years. But this year, we had come out with a new concept: your-birthday-is-your-very-OWN-f**king-business-and-has-got-nothing-to-do-with-me-anymore kinda thing. See?? All of us are very sian now already. Why you may ask? It's like this every time: Sing song... then cut cake... then eat cake (plus gossiping and backstabing all lump into one)... then wash plate...then throw rubbish... then after that... go home. The same old birthday-celebration routine. Then come tomorrow? Collect money macam loanshark for those who had eaten the cake the previous day.

But it's good that we changed the concept. At least we have no headaches about which flavored-cake to pick, who wanna share the cost and where(?) to celebrate it. Haha. But these celebrations will be an everlasting memory. We are bonded every time after the cake-eating session. At least after that, we already knew who have been backstabbing who, isn't it??? ;)
